Ciao!!

Mani sauc Evija un man ir 22 gadi – or in English – my name is Evija and I’m 22 (though I usually introduce myself as Eve). I’m a Latvian living in Italy for four weeks now. After graduating from university (I have a Bachelor’s degree in journalism) I had no real plan for what to do with myself. So I decided to follow the signs life was giving me and come to Italy to do voluntary service at Casa di Riposo Pietro Zangheri.

Things I love about Italy – people being very warm, the food, the culture, the architecture. Things I want to do while in Italy – definitely learn the language and go to Rome, Florence, Naples, Milan and Venice (also Cinque Terra and Amalfi coast) (*list to be continued*)

So far I can say nothing but the best about my experience here and hopefully after 11 months this statement will still be true. Fingers crossed!
