DC VET WB Physical Mobility in Albania 15-19 September 2025

The DC VET WB Experimental Blended Mobility project concluded in Albania with a dynamic and inspiring final mobility week that brought together VET students and teachers from seven partner countries. What began as online collaboration across borders developed into an in-person exchange of knowledge, cultures, and experiences that had a profound impact on those involved.

Throughout the project, participants worked together on topics in IT, electronics, automation, sustainable energy, and transversal skills. For many, it was their first time collaborating so closely with peers from different countries. As one participant, Matteo, reflected: “Before this experience, I never had the chance to socialize with people from countries other than mine. This journey helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect.”

The blended approach — combining virtual teamwork with hands-on, face-to-face collaboration in Albania — allowed students to step outside their comfort zones and discover new perspectives. Emilia shared how this experience changed her way of seeing the world: “I think I got different perspective what life is in different countries and our country was least similar with other countries even though we had something similar too other countries had that more with each other’s and i think that is because other countries are closer to each other than Finland.”

Beyond the academic and technical outcomes, the mobility became a deeply personal and social journey. New friendships were built, barriers were broken down, and confidence was strengthened. As Emir expressed: “I feel like meeting all those new people was an interesting social challenge that I feel like I’ll never experience again. Not every day you get to meet people from all around the continent.”

The final event marked an important milestone in strengthening the internationalization of VET systems in the Western Balkans and showcased a practical, innovative model that can be expanded and replicated in the future, continuing to connect young people through learning, cooperation, and shared European values.
