Living Zaragoza: An Erasmus Adventure We’ll Never Forget

We are a group of young people from Bologna and Ferrara and since February 12 we have been living a unique experience in Zaragoza thanks to the Erasmus+ programme. This trip has given us the opportunity to completely immerse ourselves in Spanish culture, improving our language skills and experiencing a school-to-work alternation in a totally new context, far from our comfort zone.

During these weeks, we had the opportunity to discover not only the architectural and historical beauty of Zaragoza, with its monuments and corners rich in history, but also to get in touch with the locals, who were always sunny, welcoming and helpful. We were won over by the city’s lively atmosphere, its gastronomy and traditions, feeling, day after day, more and more a part of it.

This experience was for us an important opportunity for personal and professional growth. It taught us to be more independent, to adapt to a different environment and to handle daily challenges with determination and maturity. But more than anything else, it showed us the value of teamwork, spurring us to collaborate, overcome our limits and face difficulties together, with patience, understanding and team spirit.

We went through intense moments, through ups and downs, through new discoveries and small difficulties, but each experience left us with valuable lessons and made us more aware of our abilities. Zaragoza will always remain in our hearts, not only for its beauty, but for all that it has given us in terms of growth, emotions and indelible memories.

We are sure that we will take with us to Italy a wealth of extraordinary experiences and new friendships that will last. Thank you, Zaragoza, for welcoming us and making us feel at home. This adventure will forever remain one of the best of our lives.
