CG-International: a New Capacity Building Project
Last February, we officially kicked off the CG-International project in Zaragoza (Spain)!
The mission is clear: to strengthen career guidance in Vocational Education and Training (VET) schools across the Western Balkans and beyond.

During this first face-to-face meeting, we mapped out the path ahead. The focus was on developing targeted training programs for VET teachers, counselors, and providers. From strategy to action, we began building the tools that will shape the future of career guidance, ensuring that VET students have the support they need to navigate their career journeys successfully.

Who are the partners? What are the objectives?
Career Guidance International gathers 4 EU partners (Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Finland) and 4 Western Balkans partners (Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro) in a 24-month collaboration aimed at promoting access to the international job market by developing customized training for VET teachers, VET providers, and school counselors. This will allow them to provide more effective guidance to VET students regarding their international career prospects.

The project’s objectives include:
✅ Strengthening career guidance capacity in VET institutions
✅ Creating career guidance centers and work-based learning opportunities
✅ Enhancing VET programs with insights from global markets
✅ Aligning VET strategies with industry needs
✅ Building strong public-private partnerships

A New Approach to Career Guidance
Funded by the EU, CG-International is pioneering an innovative approach to career guidance in vocational education across the Western Balkans. Through a unique Capacity Building program, the project equips VET teachers, school counselors, and career guidance professionals with specialized training, international strategies, and practical tools to better support students in their professional journeys.
Career guidance isn’t just about giving advice, but it’s about expanding horizons, creating real opportunities, and preparing students for a world without borders.
