From Forlì to Vilnius with Erasmus!

Thanks to the Erasmus+ Accreditation of Baracca Institute, 10 learners had the opportunity to live a learning mobility experience in Vilnius, hosted by our partner EU Trade. Here’s their perspective on their journey!

ANDREA BORSARI

Hello, I am Andrea.
For me, the Erasmus programme was an experience that changed my way of seeing things. It made me understand what life is really like, without studying but with work, without parents but with friends. I had to take care of things that I previously saw as secondary because I had never dealt with them before, such as grocery shopping, keeping the accommodation tidy, or simply washing clothes and dishes/cutlery. Another important factor was meeting new people, both in Vilnius and among my flatmates and travel companions. The flatmates became friends, and I am leaving Vilnius having met groups of people with whom I am still in contact. In short, it was an experience that I will carry with me forever and that taught me a lot.

NICOLAS CARILLO

Hi i’m Nicolas Carillo.
The photo I chose was taken one of the first evenings we arrived in Vilnius.
Since then, we have had many experiences, both work-related and personal.
Starting with the work-related ones, this month I have learned a lot in the field of aircraft wheel maintenance, applying what I studied at school.
In terms of life experiences, I have learned to manage myself better, both with time and money, during the entire Erasmus period.
Additionally, I have learned to manage myself together with my wonderful roommates and friends with whom I have had the best moments of this trip.

LORENZO GRILLO

Hi, I’m Lorenzo Grillo.
I chose this photo because I hope it can best express the excitement I was feeling just before departure. All that joy at being able to live for a month in this country was further fueled by incredible people who accompanied me during this experience, but not only that, also by people I met by chance in some Vilnius club or street, who turned out to be a very important part of a journey that started with the hope of carrying this month in my heart forever. Thank you Lithuania for this unforgettable experience.

GABRIEL MAPELLI

Hi, i’m Gabriel Mapelli,
I chose this photo because it resembles the beauty of Vilnius, which perfectly mixes and adapts the beauty of nature to the perfection of the city!
During this experience I visited wonderful places inside and outside of the city, met new people from all around the world, and had lots of fun both at work and during our trips or nights out. All of this got even better thanks to the wonderful people who accompanied me in this journey. But most importantly, this experience taught me to manage myself better, with work, time and money, and also to be more responsible about what i have to do.
I will never forget the impact this wonderful experience gave me, and I’m sure Lithuania will always have a place in my heart!

MARIO LIMARDI

Hi, I’m Mario Limardi.
The experience I had in Lithuania was very beautiful because it gave me the opportunity to learn about new cultures and meet very nice people from all over the world.  I had the opportunity to visit many cities and to learn how the working world works outside my country.  I was struck by its beauty about Lithuania, especially the way in which the world of the city and that of nature is connected, creating a very beautiful balance.  The work experience, together with the others, was also very useful in leading me to personal growth, making me more open to new experiences.

DAVID MACCARINI

Hi, i am David Maccarini.
I wanted to choose this photo where i’m holding the Lithuanian flag because it shows how special this journey was for me.
Living in Vilnius let me experience a new culture, meet great people and see the world from a different perspective that isn’t the one of home.
This experience helped me grow as a person, i learned new skills adapted to different work environments and i became more resilient.
The memories and friendships i made here are unforgettable and i will never forget this wonderful experience.

ALESSANDRO MARINI

Hi my name is Alessandro Marini, and I had an amazing experience during my Erasmus program in Lithuania. The time I spent there was truly unforgettable. In this photo you can see in the background the city of Vilnius. This experience was fantastic and I had the privilege to meet new people from all the Europe. The Erasmus project made me also more confident and help me grow as a person.
I will never forget this experience and Lithuania will always be in my heart

ANDREA CAMPO

Hi, I’m Andrea Campo, I come from Bologna and I chose this photo because it represents a day at Lake Trakai, this place, due to its tranquility and immensity, was very important in this experience, becoming one of my favorite places.
In general, Erasmus was a very nice experience because it allowed me to grow, mature and improve my self-management skills.
However, as with everything there are also negative sides, in particular in my experience the thing that created the most problems for me was work. I worked internally in the Aeronautika industry which deals with the maintenance of balloons, but the tasks they assigned to us were the same for the whole month and were not really related to my field of study.

FABIO PORROVECCHIO

Hi, I’m Fabio.
This experience I had allowed me to discover a new culture, the Lithuanian culture, and gain many experiences, for example going to a disco, in a real disco, before coming to Lithuania I had never gone to a disco. It also allowed me to visit new places for example Vilnius, Kaunas even if it wasn’t very nice and finally Trakai where I enjoyed the beautiful view of the lakes. And finally, this trip also allowed me to have a new work experience, where I was able to apply the knowledge I already knew and learn new things.
